It’s always a fun gig when the bride or groom are in the music industry too.
Last night at an intimate Hotel wedding in Chislehurst, the bride was a contemporary student at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama with our long-time piano-playing colleague, Paul Eldridge (posing in the photo). She and her chief bridesmaid, both working professional singers, sat in with the band for renditions of some jazz standards, and a little Bill Withers. You can request a more funky/soul-based set-list if that’s your thing. The set list last night included songs from The Average White Band, Rodney Franklin, Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, The Crusaders and Marvin Gaye.
